Wanted to order a cake for my daughter's birthday, Phone rings out with no answer phone so i travelled to the shop to be disappointed and find it was shut even though website and Google says it's open. I also looked at and through the windows and see the new opening times transferred on the door. But still shut. What a waste of my time and loss of custom for them as the cake was just shy of 70quid without the extras I wanted.
Got a 30th birthday cake made and it was amazing. Highly rate gardeners bakery.
We booked Gardners Bakery for our wedding cake and cookie favours and we werent disappointed! Helen got our requirements spot on- the cake was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! She even created two sugar paste guinea pigs in honour of our beloved pets and the cookie favours went down very well with our guests. Thank you so much Gardners!
So I receiveda phone call this morning of this bakerys in kingsthorpe telling me I didn't help about given them a feed back about there cake well tbh thay didn't help help when thay gave me a cake that was like eating brick, it isn't the first time other my family ordered a chunky cake not so long back, and that was the same verry hard to eat her cakes look amazing at the decorating but to eat would leave you no teeth it's that hard and dry tbh, verry verry disappoint Worst cake place I have ever order from it was like eating a brick the cake was that hard verry disappointed tbh
They make some really good fresh cream cake. But the regular iced cakes are a disappointment. The decorations and designs of the cake are great. But the fondant and icing is way too sweet to even digest. I ordered a cake for my b'day yesterday and I can't even go anywhere near it. Fondant is sweet as always added to the icing that tastes like chugging a whole box of sugar. Had to take of all the icing off before eating. Sweetest thing I've ever tasted. Took one bite and it's making me feel sickly; same reaction I got from the other people who ate the cake :( truly disappointed. I always order cake from this bakery but it was a total disappointment. Don't think I would want to buy another cake from here.
