A good place to have some drinks and a few TV's to watch the footy.
A large group of us had a great night out, superb live music and a great atmosphere. Friendly staff coped well with a busy pub. Only downside was the prices were a little steep but not outrageous
I went here with work colleagues after some dinner. Its a clean open light pub lots of fun to pick from staff were friendly. Its an adults pub but full of a young crowd
Good town style pub, serving a good set of pub food.Restyled not long ago and benefiting from a heated outside seating area, which is fitted with its own large screen TV showing matches and sports as it does inside on several other screens. Usual pub games inside.Live performances and a good atmosphere, always welcoming.Situated right next to the theatre it offers a good discount rate for patrons and staff of the Royal and Derngate family.Occasionally a little crowded which can adversely affect service but overall it's at a good level of busy.Recommended.
I do not often go out in town, any longer. This was a rare exception to help a friend celebrate his birthday. My friend could have chosen anywhere - he chose here. The Mailcoach is well located within Northampton - close to the centre, but far enough away from the younger places. It served its purpose - it server beer; did it fairly quickly; did it without fuss.
