The oldest building in Northampton, the round Church of the Holy Sepulchre, dates from 1100 A.D.It survived the 1675 fire of Northampton and is named after the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem which is built on the sight of Christ's crucifixion and like the "pork pie" church in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire it is circular in shape.
Wonderful historic building. The church services held in the zoo so-called 'Round' are lovely and intimate. Very welcoming congregation. Worth a visit. Enjoy, Christiaan :-) :-)
