Not a great experience at all, was buying my first home and all they did was waste time. They were rude and very unprofessional, solicitors are meant to be qualified and intelligent and unfortunately they weren't the kind :/.
We used this firm to undertake commercial conveyancing. Searches were forwarded across promptly. However, it quickly became clear that communication was somewhat lapsing, taking days for a response back which jeopardised the transaction. When questioned, our contract with them was terminated by them with only two weeks to completion. Despite professionally and politely requesting them to reconsider their position, they refused to complete the contract on the basis that we lost confidence in them which we never said. This firm will always charge significantly cheaper than other firms but be aware that you get what you pay for and this couldnt be more evident in our case. Fortunately, we found another firm that could deliver. I hope to never come across this firm again. Stay well away.
I am currently acting as a joint executor with Wilson Browne. This has been a very poor experience from the start. At the first meeting they presented an out of date will; luckily I had a copy of the more recent one (which Wilson Browne had prepared and stored) . Responsiveness has been poor throughout typically taking over a week to respond to emails and then only when chased. I have now been waiting over 3 weeks for a copy of their complaints procedure despite chasing regularly. I have now found the practice manager online, guessed his email address and he has been trying for a week to get someone to respond so far without success.I have also had reason to question a significant proportion of their charges which to date and I have received no response to my questions after 4 weeks. There are several other issues but I dont feel it appropriate to put all details here as they are part of an ongoing formal complaint.Bereavement is a stressful time for all and my expectation is that a solicitor should help the beneficiaries through the process and always act in the interest of the estate.Following this experience I have removed the requirement for a solicitor to act as executor from my own will and will leave that as an option for the named executors to choose if required. This has been a real eye opener.Update: put a formal complaint in and most of the points I had raised were not addressed. Have retained the complaint but it looks like I will have to take this further. Things have gone from bad to worse and I have had to ask for a change of person dealing with this case as I totally lost confidence. I am disputing charges for work required as a result of their own errors and inefficiency.
Not happy with advice and when challenged will not reply to phone calls or emails. Very unprofessional.
As stated all over web site FREE initial consultation. Sent info I had on what needed sorting out and was sent back Email over 2 weeks later stating pay 420 and we will advise you. No details of what 420 was for. What a sham!
