Best Christmas meals ever. The starters were amazing, either soup, vegetarian nutty starter and salmon/prawns. Then came plates full of turkey, gammon, roast potatoes, red cabbage and more vegetables on the side, (the meat was 1/4 inch thick, 2 turkey and 2 gammon slices). By the time it came to the desserts, well you can imagine that we were all full, I had chocolate and cherry torte with vanilla ice cream as did another of our party, the lads had cheese and biscuits. That was not the end of the meal, coffee and mince pies followed, those we had wrapped up for later. Great place to eat, brilliant staff and we are booking for later in the year.
Fantastic local village pub. Great staff, superb food and welcoming environment. Families made welcome and the perfect place to watch sport
What an amazing place, our second time here. The staff are welcoming as is the atmosphere. The food was hot and filling, and we didn't have to wait long for each serving. The parking is plentiful and there is parking for disabled too. Wheelchair users are welcome also. I only took a photo of the dessert as was too hungry to take pictures of the starters and the chocolate and cherry torte with vanilla ice cream. Excellent. The four of us will be going back for our Christmas dinner next year. If you wish to go there, I advise you to book about October as we did.
Went out for boxing Day dinner, I can only speak personally in that I absolutely enjoyed my meal, beautiful prawn cocktail and a fantastic Festive burger! Stuffing and bacon on the chips? What a fantastic idea! A wide drinks selection at normal pub prices with a few drinks offers to soften the blow to your wallet. Everyone else at the table had a few issues with their meals but they're not the ones posting this review! All in all. Good stuff!
