I went there as part of a walking group.Situated a few kilometres from Wellingbough just along a private road close to Grendon, my first and only impression was, a nice venue, adequate parking, and a large clubhouse, this is a water ski venue, and as that I am sure it does well, but I thought that the whole surrounding area could do with a good tidy up. This was during winter so perhaps a little unfair , we are in the country and there is a bit of mud ,but I did not like the fact that odd caravans appeared to be parked here and there with no order. The clubhouse staff were friendly and helpful and during the summer it deserves to thrive.
My daughter's wedding. Absolutely fabulous venue.
Great area and views, not too busy and plenty of camping, facilities basic though.
Amazing place to camp. So much to do, worth a visit. There's fishing and paint ball. Walks around the lakes.
Wide open campsite with tree-lined borders. Could use some more tree cover in hot weather as we visited on a scorching, wind-blasted weekend, our tent hit 48C until we placed some foil blankets over it to reflect the sunlight. The clubhouse is a bit retro but in my opinion that makes it more charming, beautiful lake. Could maybe use an adventure park for kids although there is plenty for them to explore.
