Excellent surgical team from lovely porters, the staff who brought the food etc , anethetic team before and after. I'm so grateful to have a excellent surgeon i can't thank him enough for my speedy op on nhs. I would give them all 5 star with his op team.As for after care I give 2 star From the ward staff to out patients and physio I was not treated the same as private. If that's treated the same I wouldn't go private. I Asked two simple questions while being treated and she wasnt not interested in out of out patients ,Very rude. My friend came and said how arragant.
1st ever operation, all of the staff have been fabulous and very professional! The process of pre-op, surgery, and post-op , was seamless! Many thanks to everyone!
No problems at all well looked after. Doctor Nurses and Reception staff all friendly. Excellent care before and after. Thank you to everyone.
I received terrible post op care at the hands of BMI Three Shires Hospital.I did not receive my medication untill 11.00 am the next day when the consultant specified that it was to given to me immediately after operation. Similarly the cold compresses required were not provided until much later after the operation.Others factor in my post operation discomfort was that the slide sheet was left on the bed between me and the sheet all day resulting in me experiencing sweating all day, the alarm pendant was not placed near my bed and I was left with the bed in an uncomfortable V position. It was only when the evening shift nurse came in and spotted these errors and the sliding sheet was removed, pendant repositioned next to my bed and bed adjusted. It made for an uncomfortable and miserable experience and I was glad to be out of there as soon as possible.I sent 2 letters which were responded to with complete apathy and inaccuracy.I paid a lot of money for substandard treatment and I would give no stars if I could.Edit 08/03/18: Recieved a response from my review on NHS Choices telling me to write to the Executive Director to further investigate which I duly did. Received a reply back from Executive Director saying he had nothing further to add! Please avoid this hospital.
Was referred to Dr. John Evans. Lovely man. Great initial consultation. As good a 'procedure' as you could hope for, but terrible after care. Have to wait over a month to get results! Would have been quicker on NHS. Still, I guess I have received the service that is charged for, and telling me exactly what is wrong and being able to discuss treatment options is a mere detail! Told me to go on high fibre diet, which made symptoms instantly worse. Rang and asked to speak to him, PA said she would leave message for call back. 2 weeks later, no call. Symptoms getting worse but cannot speak to him . I know he is busy. He is undoubtedly a talented surgeon but if you want to actually know what is wrong and next steps, I'd suggest getting your follow up appointment before you leave from the procedure. Not happy at paying for a mediocre service.
