Well I always like to check knew places and I do like Chinese food.... What I have learned is if the buffet all you can eat food is good then the ordered meals are very good so decided to try here as it has an all you can eat menu but it turns out it wasn't so much all you can eat as it was a set meal and the food wasn't bad but for the price I expected better, the selection of food they bring out to you to begin the meal with is not to bad but it could be better or just more. And the rest was pretty standard, decor inside is nice and light but just not a place I would go back to for the fact of the all you can eat being not true and the price for what you get is not at all worth it in my view
We recently visited the mandarin and was very disappointed and tried to go to oriental paradise which was fully booked by the time we got there. Luckily we rang the Wok Inn and was assured on the phone there would be space for us on arrival. Compared to the mandarin the food was a breath of fresh air everything cooked to order and tasted beautiful. Would deffo recommend atleast a visit.
Recently visited the Wok inn for the first time and I have to say I wasnt impressed. Everyone used to rave about it saying they did the best Chinese food in town but I would disagree. I booked a table for 5 people and we ended up on a small round table which didnt really have enough room for food and drinks. After ordering the starters one of the people I was with asked for a menu and was asked by staff why he wanted the menu as he had just had just finished the starter? Maybe he wanted a main meal? All the food tasted of oil and was very bland! Most places I have been have some spice or herb this had neither. The staffs English was very poor also! I wouldnt be heading back to the Wok inn anytime soon.
The worst service I've ever recieved! Cannot believe how rude the staff are. We used to love visiting Wok Inn for family meals but it's safe to say none of us will ever be returning. Despite booking months in advance, upon arrival we were told we had to be off the table in 2 hours. When booking we'd also asked for there to be space for a push chair for a baby. The staff refused to let the push chair in the restaurant. When it came to the main dishes, we asked for a few of each plate for the table. We were given 1 tiny plate of each dish for a table of 15. After paying the bill the staff were ripping off the table cloth and pushing us out of the way before we could get our coats on. Absolutely disgraceful. Used to be a nice restaurant, but I'd recommend avoiding at all costs!
Delicious food. My first time here and will definitely be back. This chinese restaurant is an "all you can eat" style but ordered from a menu rather than a buffet. Everything is cooked fresh to order. Portions are generous but not overly so and if you want more of something you simply just ask. We each had a selection of starters, crispy duck, and main course. Everything was well presented and the staff were friendly. One chap even took the time to attempt to teach me how to use chopsticks... thankfully they also gave me a fork. This is great for families, especially if you're try to entice little ones to try something new, equally as good for adult only dining. Well worth a visit. You won't be disappointed!
