I would have given it no stars if possible. My fianc went for his check up, so I went with him to see if they would accept me as a new NHS patient. They did and I asked if it was possible to have the filling that I needed doing straight after the mandatory check up, as I get extremely anxious waiting for the day of the appointment, and during the appointment itself. The young girl I spoke to at reception said it was not possible, that I would have to come to the check up, and once that was done book another appointment for the filling. I then mentioned that my fianc had just had a filling straight after his check up, she then admitted it was possible if the dentist had time before the next patient. All the time not seeming to care at all about my wellbeing, which surely she should have some compassion seeing the job she has. Anyway I booked a date that I was off from work, and went back on that day at the time we had agreed. Upon arriving and giving my name for the appointment, she then informed me that the appointment was for the following Monday (this was the Tuesday before). She had booked it in wrong when I first went in. I informed her of the mistake and she just kept repeating No, its booked for next monday. I informed her once again about the severe anxiety, and how it has been affecting my sleep, and crying everyday with the stress of waiting. She didnt care at all. No compassion whatsoever. I asked her if there was any appointments sooner than the Monday, and without even so much as glancing at the computer screen, told me there was not. At this point I had tears in my eyes, and was struggling to speak through them. I asked about an emergency appointment, and in a uncaring monotone voice she simply said well this isnt an emergency is it? At this point I just walked out as I didnt want this woman seeing me cry. The older receptionist who sat watching the whole conversation just sat there with a vacant expression plastered on her face.I cannot comprehend why this dental practice has employed such uncaring receptionists.

Been using the practice since 1974 and now currently under the care of Dr Andrew Lamb.Throughout this period I have received the ultimate in care and treatment .The advice I have received from Mr Somoghi and Mr Lamb has been superb and I have always felt involved in the outcome and course of treatment. Its refreshing to find that this is one area of the health service that has maintained the highest standards of care , which I put down to the teamwork and professionalism demonstrated by all the staff.
