I don't believe that DW even deserves one star. Their contracts are ridiculous and will spam you with messages and also contact debt collectors if you try and cancel your membership early - even for a valid reason WITH proof. My advice is to not ever, EVER sign yourself up for this awful company. I sincerely believe that the good reviews about this gym are from staff members only.
I didn't even want to give one star. Awful experience with Personal Training with AJ. Have been out injured for 13 weeks awaiting MRI scan on my back which occurred when starting these sessions. Refund for the 20 sessions I didn't and cannot physically use was agreed on 30th October and have had nothing but ignorance, lies and no money since. It's a shame that a company which has good space and reasonable membership is endorsing staff like this. If you are looking to join a gym and also make use of their trainers I really would recommend going elsewhere Incredibly disappointing experience which has gone from me wanting to really improve my fitness and strength to not being able to train at all for 3 months.
This review is of DW as a compamy and not just this specific gym. If you are thinking of signing up with them be warned! They are scammers, they are rude, they have to morals, no customer service to speak off, no ethics and they completely disregard consumer rights. Their contracts are illegal and in breach of consumer rights act. Yet they try to enforce them by harassing people and instructing debt collectors. My review is not the only one to say this, so this is a wide spread practice for them. If you think of signing up with them - don't! You will live to regret it when they won't let you cancel and harras you 3 years down the line. If you already signed up and want to cancel, report them to Citizen Advice Bureu. They will report then to trading standards. The more reports they get, the sooner they will act.
I've just joined and I love it the staff are very helpful and friendly and it has everything you will need and more .
Just joined 2 days ago. After losing all interest in going gym, due to hating everything about Danes Camp. Loved my first day at DW gym. Feeling all my motivation coming back. Good pool and spacious gym, very large, clean ladies changing room. (And it was a cleaner there this morning.) Not sure what all bad reviews are all about, clearly can't please some people.
