Nice park, nice play area. There are some of those council provided bikes you can hire which is good too. You can easily walk along the canal to the skate park at midsummer meadow.
Very big park in the center of Northampton. Suitable for kids and adults. It has a good kids play area too. But parking area is too small.
Great oasis of calm in the town centre. And a lovely Riverside walk all the way to the Britannia pub if you fancy a walk with lunch at the end !
As I basically live across the road from Beckets Park it is a place I visit quite often and it is fairly local to the town centre.Whether it's with my grandson in the play park or feeding the wildlife on the water or watching the squirrels at play or simply walking by the canal and watching the boats go through the lock there, plus its a good place for a picnic when the weather allows.The tennis courts can be quite busy at times and a cafe which opens at various times, also local bicycles can be picked up or returned here.Now there is the new bridge linking from Victoria Promenade lower entrance to the new university buildings.Certainly worth a visit at some stage.
Huge park in center of Northampton town, kids play area is a highlight and well maintained. Easy to find car parking space adjacent to the park. A favourite place for kids, joggers and walkers.
